Hola mes petits pois
And a warm bienvenue to all new subscribers.
I'm full-swing in holiday mode somewhere on the Spanish/French border. We're bobbing in and out of both countries, and I'm getting my bikini in a twist with the languages.
I studied French at school beaucoup des anées ago, and recently I've made a stab at Spanish. So, there's a mighty mix-up going on in my head, and I'm spouting some sort of hybrid ‘Franish’ of maybe ‘Spench’. Either way, I'm not making much sense.
For my holiday reading, I've brought along the books of my amiga, Christa Bakker. She writes murder mysteries set in the Beaujolais region of France, and I'll be travelling through that area. It's so très bon to read them in context. Click on the image to see more.
As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I’ve set up a Facebook group for my readers. I prattle on about books and life in general – with the wistful hope that someone else will start a thread. Members are embarrassingly low at the moment, so we need you.
This is Fin. Now, you'd know about him if you were in the group.
Finally, here are a collection of cozy mysteries that might pique your interest. Click on the image to find them.
That's all for now, folks. There's an ice pop waiting for me in the shade.
Adios and au revoir. xxxx
P.S. Congratulations to España for winning the Women's World Cup and also to England for coming second.
Stay safe during your travels.
